"Papers" and other musical thoughts

OK. So yesterday I'm on my way to school listening to my trusty XM radio and Usher's new single "Papers" comes on. Basically this song lays out why Usher and his soon-to-be ex-wife are divorcing and the entire time I was thinking, really Usher...TMI, maybe? I don't know why I am surprised. This song comes from the man who brought us Confessions--an amazing album, but full of TMI regarding Usher's infidelity and break-up with Chili. But I don't know...this "Papers" just seems a little too intrusive. He basically has put his wife/mother-of-his-kids on front street.

I didn't like Usher's last album [except for "Moving Mountains" which was my sh!t. Last summer, if I was drinking I was bellowing, "Let's listen to 'Moving Mountains!'"]--it was full of this I'm-so-in-love-and-I'm-a-man-now which I'm sorry, I didn't wanna hear from Usher. But I don't know if I wanna hear Usher talk sh!t about the mother of his kids, either. I don't know. Plus, I feel like Usher essentially putting his personal business out in the street because it worked for him before...

Maybe Usher has peaked. Maybe Confessions was the height of his career and it'll never be the same...who knows. I posted a snip-it of the lyrics to his new song, "Papers"--a bit much or is it just me???

I'm losin my mind, cant figure out who's wrong or right
I know it's you I love, but then I also know it's you I don't like
You claim you hate who I was, but that's the reason you here now
You think I don't know what's up, but sweetheart that's what ruined us
I ain't afraid to say I got needs
but the only time you here for me is when the bottles poppin' and everything is sweet
but I I'm tired of sleeping in the other room spending them long nights
trying to figure out what in the hell in my heart I ain't do right. (Oooh for u)

For you I gave my heart and turned my back against the world(back against the world)
'Cause you were my girl, girl(girl), girl,
I done damn near lost my mama(mama), I done been through so much drama(drama)
I done turned into the man that I never thought I'd be.(never thought I would be)

I'm ready to sign them papers(papers), papers

Also on a music note...I'm someone who follows the Billboard Top 100 charts--it helps me find new music that I may have missed. For the past 26 weeks the Black Eyed Peas have topped the singles charts--first with "Boom Boom Pow" [a silly yet infectious song] and then "I've Got a Feeling" [which I'm sorry--I HATED]. Finally, SOMEONE has dethroned the BEPs. Its Jay Sean an artist signed to Cash Money. His song "Down" featuring Wayne is catchy and I'm happy for him that he's number 1. He's a cute Indian dude from Britain [I loooove me a British accent on a man, FYI] and I'm just glad someone finally knocked the shiteous BEPs song off the top...
