This weekend started out on a really negative note. I left work early (which I try not to do...I dunno, seems unprofessional, but whatevs) so I could deposit my paycheck (direct deposit was down or something..again whatevs). Well not only did I NOT make it to the bank ontime but I was pulled over by the cops and given a ticket for running a red light. Now, when I pulled into the intersection the light was completely yellow but I was so pissed I was getting ticketed I didn't even have the energy to argue with the guy. This is my first ticket EVER and while it may not seem like a big deal, I was livid. Truly livid.
I think what upset me more than anything was how quickly I got irrationally angry. Because that's not in my nature. I was really upset. I called Frank and I think my degree of anger caught him off guard. He said he'd call me back...and well...never did. LOL. So I just drove home and cried. Not out of sadness but just out of disappointment for how crazy-angry I got. Its not me...and it reminded me of someone I've vowed to never be like. But alas, I disgress...
I decided to spend Memorial Day Weekend all by my lonesome. I canceled any plans. I put my phone on silent. I didn't respond to any text messages and I essentially vegged out in my house. I drank wine. I cleaned. I watched movies. I got wrapped up in a Law & Order: SVU marathon. I did venture out to see Sex and the City 2 and I spent Saturday night in a gay bar in Tuscaloosa, Alabama--which was insane. LOL. But the weekend was about me and it was perfect. I realize how ridiculous I was over the whole bank/ticket thing. Worse things could have happened. I put the check in the overnight deposit today. It should be entered into my account tomorrow AM. No biggie.
I've gotta learn how to calm down :) So here's my Memorial Day Weekend in a nutshell:
