Introducing Ernie Halter

So I have yet another General Hospital find. Maxie and Spinelli [probably the most random hook-up in soap history--she's a 'diva'; he's a 'geek' and yet somehow it works]. Anyway, when Maxie and Spinelli finally hook-up and "make love" this incredibly simple yet beautiful song plays. I swear, GH is becoming like Grey's Anatomy or One Tree Hill. OTH jumped the shark seasons ago but I continue to watch because they always use incredible music in the episodes. Grey's too.

I looked for this song EVERYWHERE and couldn't find it. GH has a tendency to buy the rights to all the music it uses so it can control sales and such. I finally found the name of the song, "Close Your Eyes and Wander" by Ernie Halter, but couldn't find it on iTunes or anywhere else for that matter. Finally, last night I found it on iTunes and downloaded it immediately. I think I've already played it like 5 times since then. Anywho, I looked up Ernie Halter on Rhapsody and MyspaceMusic and I like what I hear. He has a pretty incredible cover of that song "Cyclone". Classic.
