- The last few months of law school my personal life went to shit. I spent a lot of time alone or with friends who I could only wish I'd spent more time with over the past three years. I also learned a valuable lesson: you cannot want something to work out enough for two people. No matter what it is: a romantic relationship, a friendship, a partnership, whatever. You can't want it enough for someone else. If they're giving 20%, your 80% can't make it right. It just isn't right. Recognize that and act accordingly.
- I GRADUATED!!!! Best day I've had in a looooong time. Having Prof. A place that hood over my shoulders was a feeling I'll never forget. Especially in light of the personal life that went to shit and the tornadoes...I just felt AMAZING and truly thankful. Gratefulness is a powerful feeling. It feels good. I wish for everyone to feel at least once in their life how I felt on May 7.
- For the first time in my life...I'm going to STUDY. Not procrastinate until the last minute. Not rest on my laurels. Not throw some shit together and then cross my fingers. Until July 28 when I complete Day 2 of the Bar Exam I am going balls to the motherf*ckin' walls. And I'm terrified. Daily I pray for strength and my sanity.
- Despite the summer of studying looming ahead, I remain excited about starting a new phase of my life. I think it was graduating and realizing that I can truly shed the bad...I don't have to bring any b.s. experiences or people into my future--I just feel like I get a fresh start. I get to be any kind of Akili I want to be. That's exciting. I just feel like the person who's going to emerge on the other side in August is going to be so much...better. And despite the anxiety, that's comforting.

Life Update
After looking over my bar prep schedule I realized this might truly be the last few minutes of free time to update the blog. Let's see. What's new with me?
